Dumb Question But Where Is My Jack

Recommended Posts

Folded up the rear seat and i see the tool to lower the spare but where is the jack?

Also, anyone know where I could find a storage bin that will fit under the rear passenger seat?

Under the rear seat is the tool bag. Tucked further back underneath the seat on the passenger side is a bottle jack on its side in a small open compartment.

You can do a search for Husky underseat storage - I think they are the cheapest. The crew cab & extended cab storage bins are different. The bins from the GMT-800 will not fit the floor of the GMT-900.

Yep, the jack is under there, just a little farther back and harder to see.

As for the under seat storage, the most common options I've seen are the GM under seat box, and the Du-Ha box. I have the GM accessories one in my crew cab, and it works great. Bolts down to the floor where the seat brackets are bolted down.

Same here on mine! Pay attention how you got it out. I took mine out a few weeks ago, and not quite sure how it goes back in. Haven't looked at it since then, because it's in my . . .

I have the Du-Ha box mainly because I thought at the time it was the cheapest. That's not the case now, and I'm not sure why I ever thought this. :chevy: One nice thing is that it didn't block access to my jack. :P (Not saying the GM one does, I don't know)

Damn, I never realized how much space the hump in the middle of the Extended Cab trucks took up (eliminating useful space)... glad I have a crew cab!

It does take alot of room but you can still put some stuff on top of it with the seat folded down.

I bought me a across the bed tool box and then TWO jacks- one floor jack and one hi-lift "handiman" jack. If one won't do it, the other will. And in a SHTF mud hole hopefully both will work!
