Autoride Shocks

I posted something about autoride a while back, now im just curious about another situation. i added a 1" block in the rear just so i could upgrade 265/75 to 285/75. the first day after the new blocks/U bolts it looked good, rode the same , no lights on.. so i thought i was ok. I noticed yesterday the truck looked lower or backdown to the height before the blocks. So did these shocks really lower the yukon back down because they noticed a raise/difference in height. If so id really like to eliminate them, is there a fuse i canjust pull for the autoride. or can i go to the dealer...

One guy told me i could have the dealer reprogram the (body control module) to tell the truck it doesnt have atuoride..

The autoride option on the 2500 does not have the ability to change ride height. It is strictly an electronically controlled, variable damping shock setup. The 1500 has the auto leveling Autoride option.

I was told diiffrent from a suspension guy i deal with, also if not why does the rear of the yukon look slightly lower thanit did before the 1" block.?

Does it just look lower, or did you measure it before and after?

 

The 1500 w/ Autoride is far more common, and perhaps your suspension guy just assumes that Autoride is Autoride, whether it's on a half ton or a three-quarter ton vehicle. You can crawl around under it if you want, but if it's the factory Autoride system, and if it's a 2500, there is no compressor or air shocks that could change the ride height. Like I said, it's strictly a variable damping system on the 2500 series.

All i can tell for certain is that the truck is back to the height it was before the rear blocks....

Im gonna startmessing with it as sonn as it warms up outside and see what i cancome up with.

I finally did get to measure yesterday, when i put the 1" block in it showed a gain of about 7/8"

now whatever happened with the shocks settiling or lowering the rear back to stock im down about 1 1/8"

someone suggested played with the sensor..
