That's entirely up to you. I will say that I prefer they come out the back on my truck. I think it looks better, plus they're parallel to the airflow. Just my opinion - and you know what they say about opinions ... :)

This is a Corsa cat-back. Sounds AWESOME when your on it, but pretty mellow when your not. Spendy, but I'd spend this much replacing cheaper brands every other year in this part of the country (NE USA) with the corrosive road salt.

Agreed, I have the same.

I had flowmaster on my last truck (03 5.3) and it only lasted 2.5 years before rusting out. Also, lost low end torque and mpg. I replaced with magnaflow which is all stainless steel and gained back what I lost. For my current truck, I went with corsa because I didn't want any drone with the 6.0L. The 5.3 wasn't an issue with magnaflow, but when towing, the Flowmasters droned like crazy.

Something you may not have considered is having the exhaust pipe stop before it becomes visible. Then you won't need to put tips on. And you won't need to worry if it makes you look like a punk kid. That's what I did. I like the nice clean look with no exhaust sticking out the back or sides.

Just something to think about.

If you want it dumped, all you need to do is hack off the end of the stock exhaust so it just dumps it over the axle, and swap mufflers for the sound you want. No, you won't see any performance gains, but you won't see them from any exhaust setup on a stock truck.

That's exactly what I did. I swapped the stock muffler with a Corsa and had the tail pipe stop short.

Well, if if want it hidden; you can still cut pipes short of the back of the truck, but you can get some turndown tips; that should help make the exhaust a little louder....

MBRP, Gibson, and Edelbrock have some turndown tips...

Actually a very good question. IMO, I would NOT go 45 in front of wheels, because the drone will drive you insane, esp if you have fuel management. Mine comes out at 45 behind wheels and still gets annoying to passengers that arent used to it. BTW, I have cat-back flowmaster 40 series. If you go straight out the back, you risk backing into things (dirtpiles, snowbanks) and could damage or plug your tips. Also, if you tow anything, esp a camper with fiberglass body, you risk melting/glazing the glass, plus the soot from the exhaust could be an issue.
