Need Owners Manuals

I just bought an 08 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT (if you haven't seen it in another post). All i got with the truck was one key and a worn out fob/remote.

 

Things I want/need:

 

Owners Manual

Any other Manuals

2nd fob/remote

Anything Else?

 

1. Any recommendations as to how to acquire these items/what to ask for?

2. Any pics of said items?

3. Anything you would recommend I get?

 

 

So far I have bought Weathertech Digital Floor liners (didn't get mats).

Helm Inc. provides gm with the owners manual, you can purchase the new vehicle "portfolio" directly from them for 35 bucks

Since you have the mighty D-MAX you will also want the factory diesel supplement guide which include specific info on the duramax which comes with new trucks (also sold by Helm Inc.)

As for the remote I've had good luck getting them from this place, they sell OEM replacements. Just put in your year/model and it will show you pictures of the different ones for your truck that you can pick from

 

keyless remotes

 

If you do your own maintenance/repairs I would get the factory service manuals (I always get them for every vehicle I purchase) you can also get these through Helm Inc.

Man, that's wonderful! Thanks for the resource! Any other suggestions?

 

Since I am replacing the remotes, any ideas on the 2-way system?

A few people have purchased the2 way system and say the range sucks, not worth the money. If you want 2 way, go to the aftermarket for something better. DEI (Viper, Python, Clifford, etc) has some systems that are good for 1 mile (theoretically). They are also cheaper.
