Engine Miss Firing And Flashing Check Engine.

Just had it too the shop. O2 sensor harness burned up and shorted on frame. Said it was fixed, worked great on the way home (near 30kms). Started it this morning. Same problem. Both nights, lots of freezing rain. Re-checked codes, just 300 missfire. Any ideas?

I think I solved it, While i'm sure the o2 sensor needed to be replaced (error code indicated so, and there was a fire on the harness) that was not my initial missfire problem. I popped the hood while waiting for CAA, and could hear a clicking. I thought it was an injector, looked down and seen arcing, spark plug wire was split. Taped it up with electrical tape, no arcing. Still getting a small lift off the wire. On my way for new spark plug wires now, and hopefully to work right after.

yup that will definitely give you a misfire in wet conditions.

Made it to work! heh. Didn't get new wires, because it is storming like hell. Its just too bad I didn't realize that first, before the mechanic put in a new o2 sensor and harness. $300 later! Oh well, least I have a working O2 sensor now. All I need is a evap solenoid and the check engine light will be gone
