Good Deal On Afe Stage 2 Cai

I ordered an intake from truckcustomizers.com tonight. I was looking at the AFE for the no oil serviceable filter. When you add the intake to cart, AFE model 51-81072 (for my 08 SD), the price is $278.80 with free shipping. There is also an offer from AFE going on, buy one of their stage 2 systems and get a $25 rebate from AFE. Plus, I found an online coupon for $10 off an order of $150 or more which is: WINTER10. $243.80 shipped for a CAI!!

I just put an AFE Pro-Dry S filter element in and can say it's as well constructed as the "oily one" with no mess to contend with. Seemed to help performance, but we know "seat-of-the-pants" doesn't mean a thing factually; just something to justify our purchases.

This Truckcustomizers.com seems to be legit. The intake shipped today with UPS tracking number and UPS said it was supposed to be delivered on Thursday and then said it will be delivered on Wednesday!

I installed an Injen brand CAI with "Dry Flow" filter and outerwears on my wifes 04 Acura TL and it cleans up real easy and has held up great. Got almost 100,000 miles on it and it looks new after I clean it, her car is up to 138,000 miles now. I wash it up in spring and fall and have road salt and all sorts of crap on it. Gained 1-2 mpgs from what we figured on highway. The CAI on this car sits down in the front fender and will sees considerable more dirt than the one in my truck ever will.

I'd like to put one of these dry filters on my ATV, but don't know how they would handle a super dusty environment.

Glad to hear good news on the AFE filter! Thanks!

George, do you have the full AFE setup or did you add the filter to a different CAI?

AFE is great, I have there Intake for my Truck and I just put there Exhaust on my truck. I could not be happier. Really great material they use and you will be really happy with the way the intake looks in your engine bay. You will notice better breathing midrage when you open it up on the highway plus it sounds really awsome.
