So are all crew cabs built in Mexico now? Including the Sierra Denalis?

Yes until later this yr when they start production in Michigan for the crewcab trucks for MY2011.

They are pretty spot on for the build weeks. Your looking at 2-3 wks after that dpending on where you are. I think it took mine 10 days and this was expedited when it hit the railyard in Chicago.

Estimated Build Date: 4/15/2010.

So how accurate are these dates? This is a crew cab, so it will be built in Mexico.

remember to take a Camera with you when you take Delivery!

I am not sure, my special ordered EXT CAB truck just came in last week. It had originally had a estimated 2-8-10 date that turned into a 3-5-10 actual date. It only took a week to get here after it was built though. It generally comes down to how the line is moving, if there are in component shortages, ect. ect. In my case GM had just shut down one plant that had been building similar trucks and shiffted the producion to the plant that was to build my truck, creating a back log. But at any rate estimates are just that, and are subject to change. Once they have an actual schedualed date then they seem pretty accurate.

I had herd that they were going to be shifting some CC production back to the states next year as well.

Build dates are generally reliable unless there is a work or part stoppage somewhere.

Bowtie,

Here's hoping that the date is RIGHT ON, or maybe even sooner.

And, YES, take a camera with you when you take delivery. I live in Milwaukie, Oregon, so your new rig may even come from one of our local dealers.

All the Best,

Oh don't worry, there will be a camera on site when I pick it up!

P71 - Thanks for the props on the sig.

dogzapper - I ordered the truck through Wilsonville Chevrolet. They gave me a great deal right off the bat with no negotiation required (all done through the internet and phone calls, I haven't even met the guy in person). I've had a VERY positive experience up to this point.

Bowtie,

I have heard absolutely NOTHING but great things about Wilsonville Chevrolet.

I've not bought a rig from them, but I've shopped a couple of times there and they were super folks.

I live within a mile of Town & Country Chevrolet, between Milwaukie and Gladstone. We've boughtten or twelve new rigs from them over the years and the "front end," the retail part of T&C is horrible. I simply hate the negotiation and wrangling that they seem to assume must accompany every deal. We still buy there because the Twon & Country service is incredible ... honest and trustworthy to a fault. And it's kinda nice to walk home after leaving the truck or Tahoe for service.

Trust me, next time we will probably end up buying at Wilsonville Chevy and having the service done at T&C.

Best of luck with your new rig,

Steve
