Skid Plate...

The skid plate on my 09 2500HD ECSB Z71 keeps getting loose and rattling on rough road (Construction site). I tighten the bolts up and they keep backing off and causing a racket over bumps. I was thinking lock-tight but what do you guys do?

... some people just totally remove the skidplate.... but then you are taking away about the only useful thing that actually makes it a Z71 .... sorry, I know I'm not much help!

Go for Loc-tite. I throw a lot on just to make sure; I cover the bolt every place the nut will be.

just take it off...it dosen't offer enough protection to make it worth the hassle...

Blue Loc-tite is service removable, don't need excess because it only will make a mess. Don't use red!

Thanks Guys. I will try the Loc-Tite. It just sounded horrible for a 2009 to rattle like that.

Loc-tite the bitch. If it ever needs to come off, use an impact gun to get it off.
