Broke Down And Ordered Some New Tires!

Well, not on the truck yet.... but they will be by next wednesday. i ordered a set of LT275/70-18 BFG AT's. Hope they work well on my junk. I like the looks of the tires on evryones GMT900 i have seen, which is only 2, but still, awesome looking. i will miss my Coop's(STT's), but I wont miss the growl. I guess i have GM to thank for the new tires in a way, although those sob's arent contributing any Bills to the cause. Between the two blown ball joints and a busted wheel bearing(all during the duty of the Coops), they have somehow managed to net me about 38-39,000 miles, with not very good rotation frequencies. They would prob go another 10,000 miles, but they are pissing me off with the noise and my wife wont ride with me no(any) more.....uh....and my little boy gets kinda mad about the noise too. So i will post some pics middle of next week. I got them from Tire Rack, they had them for $195 each, plus $100 total shipping, brought the total to $893.28 OTD delivered to my house, prob cost me about $40 or so to get em mounted and balanced at the local shop. Everywhere I checked em local wanted $265 each; not happening.

I have had the BFG AT on a bunch of trucks through the years. They are pricey but I always felt like I got my monies worth. Good looks is nice but it was the performance/durability of the tire which gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I hope your experience with them is as positive as mine was.

Sell your takeoffs on craigslist. Depending on condition you could get anywhere from 100-200 bucks plus it is free to list. BFG's Rock!

the guy at tirerack.com said that because it was an odd size was the reason they were selling them so cheap....that makes no sense, isnt that supposed to have the opposite effect? anyway, cant wait to see them mounted.

i have a hard time calling $195/each cheap, but if you have 18's i dont have to explain.
