Swapping Newer Stock Deck To An Older Truck

Hey I was wondering if anyone happens to know if it's possible and what would be involved in swapping the stock radio deck (am/fm/single cd changer with auxilery input) from my 2007 new body style Silverado into my Dads 1998 Silverado.

Not possible. The new radios are linked to the full computer system in the truck and need to be vin matched, etc. to work.

 

Unless you want to get into an intense project for a head unit that isn't worth it, look elsewhere
