Video Format To Play Dvd-rw's In Factory Dvd Nav Unit

Does anybody know if it is possible to burn and play videos through the factory DVD player up-front? I want to play a collection of music videos. If so, what format do the videos need to be in?

I want to use a RW disc so I can interchange videos and add as I download them.

Thanks in advance to all who reply!

Which really sucks......

What I can't understand is why it will play MP3's on a CD, but not on a DVD. geez.....

Ok. Cool.

Do any off you use DVD-RW's or DVD+RW's to play in the factory nav unit? This would save the need for burning a whole bunch of DVD-R's.

DVD-R's play fine in the factory NAV unit.

DVD Flick works! Played my videos on a DVD+RW through the factory NAV player. All I have to do now is find the video format that will sync the video and the words. I hate watch TV when the video and the words aren't in sync. Once I find the file format that will sync the video and the words, I'm good to go.

Your videos can really be in any format you want. what you need to do is encode them into a format for a dvd player to notice. For me i use a program called dvd flick (free) and use that to burn them onto a dvd

here is the site http://www.dvdflick.net/
