Pourus Castech Heads

Just wondering how many others have had the problem i ran into and if there's anything we can do about it. I was recently driving cross country when my castech heads finally cracked and well you know the rest. 13 hrs. at 75 mph with an engine fluid mixture. So my warranty is expired and im screwed. GM knows these heads are faulty and i've found many people who have experienced the same problem but no info on GM taking responsibility for the problem with the vehicle they sold us. Can anyone help with this?

Have you phoned GM or went in to talk with someone to see if they would do anything?

 

 

In the end, if you cannot get anything done, you can go to court with them and pay out your ass for legal fees, and still not have a vehicle to drive for that whole time....or you can spend the 3800 bucks and buy a new engine.

Castech heads cracked at 85,000 miles on my truck. I had 1 month left on my 5 year powertrain warrenty. I just got lucky in that respect.
