Dumb Question... Box Dimensions.. 09 - 10

I was wondering if there is any difference betweent the 2009 and the 2010 6.5' box dimensions. I know that the lengths are the same just wondering about the widths. Reason I ask is that I am going to order an Extang tri-fold tonneau cover and the guy at the parts desk says he has a listing for a 2009 but not a 2010.

I would think that the boxes are identical but rather than order it in and then find out there is some stupid mismtach I would ask here.

Thanks!

Thanks Chris for taking the time to measure your bed... well I guess there is a difference. I measured mine at the top (near the cab) and I measure 63 1/4", I also have the bed rail protectors.. so it looks like a difference of 1 1/4" in the difference, I would have sworn the 09's and 10's were identical.

I also measured the box width at the tail gate end and it measures 61 1/2" ... I didn't know the beds on these trucks were tapered by 1 3/4" ??

Hey Chris.. I just noticed that you have the Freedom Tri-fold tonneau cover...that's the one I was wanting to go with it from CT. How does it fit... do you have any close up shots of it on your truck? Any issues with it so far?

Actually bud I only measured right at the very back at the tail gate. I cant really measure the front with the cover on. I'm pretty sure it would be the same, I know when I ordered mine back in Dec. they only had up to 08 and mines a 09. As for the fit I coundn't be happier, its so easy to put on it litteraly takes 5 min, just position it where it looks straight and center then fold it open tighten the wing nuts on the front then flip it back and snap the back down. I dont have any close ups but I can go take some for sure. The Freedom is aparently the identical cover to the Extang, I believe Freedom is a divions or sister company of Extang. The only thing I would recomend is the seal for the tail gates. The GMT900 have a huge gap between the tailgate and the box, where you will get very minimal moisture get in when driving in rain or snow, but hardly anything to speak of.

Ahhh.. Ok, when you said you measured at the top I thought you were talking about up near the cab... cool.. so I would say that they are the same... I will do some more digging online but I would say you are right, they are the same width

This Freedom cover is made by Extang, or at least that is what I am lead to believe... CT has this cover on sale right now for $369.99 ... and it has received lots of great reviews on CT's website as well. Thanks for the tip on the tailgate seal, now where would this gap be? On the top or the sides?

If you could take a few pics of your tonneau cover on your truck that would be really great!
