It's not stupid engineering.....in some states it's illegal to run the fog lights unless there is actually fog present. Louisiana happens to be one of them....and yes, I know someone that has been ticketed for running them for absolutely no reason.

Definitely an interesting mod, but her in WA you cannot have more than 4 front facing white lights turned on at any one time. For off-road use, this could be a great help but for street use, I'm not sure I would want to get a lecture from some otherwise bored sheriff's deputy or local cop.

 

I wonder if the stock fog light wiring (and switch) could be used to power a relay that would operate some good driving or fog lamps??
