Accidental Removal Of Converter Clutch Valve

I accidentally removed the Converter Clutch Valve while installing a TransGo shift kit. A didn't see what way it came out so I don't know if the smaller knob end goes up toward the springs or against the washer and c-clip. I couldn't tell by looking at the exploded diagram that I uploaded (part 224). The springs fit over both ends so that doesn't help.

i'll look in my alldata and see it better maybe.

 

alldata sucked ,bad pics,

 

so i found a GM overhaul manual for everything and it has the same pic however the hydraulic schematic shows the valve from overhead so to speak instead of the other pic ,it shows what looks like end of 224 is bigger diameter at the solinoid end ,but that is only because the other end is in the spring.

 

thats all I got ,sry ,its not much help

I think that the smaller knob goes up. Even though the springs fit perfectly over the bigger end, I don't see why the knob end would rest on the washer and c-clip at the solinoid end.

Did your 4th accumulator have a spring it it from the factory?
