Epoxy-Based Bedliner

Hey guys, great forum.  I am a newbie here and this is my first post.  I found a new product on another forum (don't worry that forum sucks thats why I am here) and wanting to get your thoughts and comments about it.  It is a epoxy-based bedliner.  The kit comes with the liquid epoxy and bags of rubber chips to add.  I don't know much about epoxy so hopefully someone out there does.  The site praises it, of course they are trying to sell it.  It is a do-it yourself thing.  On my last truck I had the Herculiner roll on bedliner.  That was a piece of sh**t.  I could not drag a 2x4 across it without cutting a gash in it.  I can't see spending $300+ on a sprayliner.

Here is the Link

I don't know if I'd give them any money if they can't even afford to spell check their own website...   Just my 2 cents.

Have to determine how long you're going to keep the truck and what kind of uses you'll have.  I initially had a hard liner in my 99 'Rado, but it was scratching the tailgate due to the floor piece being too long.  I had it replaced with a Permatech spray-in, and it works great for hauling mowers, snowthrowers, furniture, etc.

Why would you want a HARD finish in the bed?

Spray in liners (Line-X, Rhino, etc) do "chip" with very hard use, but the warranties, usually lifetime, covers that and repairs are just cleaning out the wound and spraying back in material.  I haven't had any chips yet, I think in the product review section someone has had a Rhino warranty chip fix.

Spray ins are around $325 for a short bed under rail $375 over.

Otherwise if buying a new truck, seriously look at the PROTEC

I went with Line X and am very happy with the performance. I haul lumber and a Quad with no problems. They do have a very good warranty if you would happen to chip it. I have the over the rail and they did a quality job in running a sraight line for the length of the truck. IMO with the investment in the new truck you have I would not fool around with an unproven product.
