Can someone please let me know if this muffler will work fine on my 09 5.3L sierra? I've been looking for many moons trying to find a corsa db black muffler and do a simple muffler swap on my truck. I've finally found this muffler from 4wheelparts and they ship to Canada.

will this 2.5" offset inlet/outlet work fine on my truck? I want to order this before the weekend but would like confirmation!

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Stock input is 3" and stock outlet is 2 3/4", but any good muffler shop should be able to hook it up with reducers. Go for it, and post a sound clip when it's on.

I'm pretty sure that those who have put on the db series muffler on their 5.3L trucks have had no issues with the 2.5" inlet/outlet as far as performance is concerned. I'm hoping one of those kind members will confirm this for me!

Regardless, I think i will order this muffler on Friday if nobody strongly disagrees with my choice before then

I went with the 8332541 and love it! It has the center outlet. No drone and it sounds great. Gained MPG too! It is a 2.5" and the stock is 3' but with the restrictive stocker removed, this still flows better even with the reduced diameter.

Thanks for the confirmation J-man67! I think i PM'd you yesterday as i knew that you had done this set up on your truck.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the one you have and the one i was looking at??

shows the details of the one you have (8332541)

Does anyone know what the difference might be? They're both 165 dollars.

The difference is the outlet. One (8332541) is center outlet and the other is off-set outlet. I went with center to avoid being so close to the rear shock. Your muffler shop should be able to get either to work, but that's why I chose the one I chose.

Do you think you could grab a pic or two of how that muffler looks installed under your truck?

Also, how is the drone in-cab with that setup?

GFORCE--- Did you get this muffler yet? Just wondering because I may order the same one. They sure are hard to come by.

If you find one let me know.

4wheel parts. I called them and they said corsa ships them directly. I placed my order so hopefully I get one. It's the 8332543 I believe. I will let y'all know.

If you do in fact get one then I am getting one the second after you post. I've been told they don't sell them anymore so if they do I'm jumping all over it

Same here. Otherwise I think I'm going with Borla.

I ordered the Corsa on Saturday so hopefully Monday or Tuesday I will have a tracking number. However if there are problems I most likely will go with one of the Borla mufflers as well. I will keep you posted.

Ok so I called up 4 Wheel parts and in fact they dont have them anymore and neither does Corsa they claim. I will be getting my money refunded in the next day or two.

Ok now here is where I started hunting for them and more info.

I called Corsa and one of the guys said that he has only a few and went through the list. Most were Reds and he suggested I call this other company. Then he gave me a name and number of a company that bought most of the inventory of the DB black mufflers.

I then called this other shop and they in fact do have some DB blacks. The woman there said that they have four of the 8332541 mufflers. (This is the only one I asked for) I just dont know if I want to pay $50-60 dollars more plus shipping to get a muffler.
