You guys that are retrofiting your trucks with oem navi where are you putting the oem antenna. I always thought that second bump on the roof was the antenna.

The antenna mounts under the defroster vents at the front of the dash. You have to remove the A-pillar trim and the panel at the front of the dash, then it snaps right into place in the factory location.

Yep, that is exactly where I put the antenna for my Avic.

I, too, am wanting to install a GPS antenna (in an '07 Escalade). It has the shark-fin-type part on the roof already. There is a radio antenna on the back of the head unit, and I am guessing that the blue connector (with nothing currently plugged in) is for a GPS antenna. How do I remove the A-pillar trim? Any next steps that I need to know?
