94 S10 Leaf Springs

Since purchasing my 94 s-10 anything I put into the bed caused it to drop significantly. Now that it is getting older, I'd like to use more as a work truck and haul dirt, gravel, landscape timbers, woodchips, etc... in it. What is my best option to increase the payload so the bed doesn't drop down to the axle? Obviously I'm looking for an inexpensive upgrade with the best results. I'm new to this and would like to do the work myself, but I could bring the parts to my mechanic too. Any help is appreciated.

helper springs would be your best bet they just bolt over the existing spring packs....if your mechanically inclined you could go to a junk yard and strip off a couple of leaf packs off other s-10s and add them to the springs you got now...(seen it done on a ram before)

You could also try a local spring shop. They can add a extra leaf or 2 and maybe some more arch for a pretty good price. They might also be able to give you a few other options that would work too

How much weight are you putting in the bed?

I have a set on timbren hollow springs on my 94 that work great for fixing the droop when loaded but doesn't change the ride unloaded like adding to the spring packs.
