Abs And Brake Light Came On- Need Help.

Before I get the short answer, I might need some insight as to what I might check for.

 

Four days back I was driving along and my ABS light and Brake light came on. I get the chimes and the message on my DIC. I pulled into parking lot, shut truck off and restarted. Drove away and everything was fine that day. Same thing happened the next day. Yesterday it did it maybe 4 times. Today I go to work, out to lunch and home without a problem. Head out to store, and light comes on a half mile from home.

 

There is no rhyme or reason as to when it comes on as I am not braking when it does and I have driven at least a half mile every time.

 

Has anyone experienced this before, an if so, what was your cause? I have a code scanner that I can supposedly upgrade for ABS codes but I'd rather save my $100 if at all possible. No parts stores here read the codes. Garages want an hour of labor which is about $70+

 

Perhaps anyone close to Cleveland that has an ABS code reader that I can bribe with a 6 pack?
