Adding A Powered Bazooka To A 2010 Sierra Denali

I am trying to upgrade the 6-inch 'sub' as part of the 2010 Sierra Denali Bose system w/ OnStar (etc.) I have read other posts regarding this and there seems to be a problem with line voltage while trying to make this happen. Others have mentioned a problem with the subwoofer and road-noise adjustment going nuts. Does anyone know if it is possible to rewire the existing 6" sub and run a lead to a new powered bazooka tube, which will keep the rest of the system completely active as OEM? I'm open to all recommendations at this point... looking for something small, clean, and out of the way... just a little more thump. Thanks!

I dont think you can, the 6" sub must be hooked to an AMP of its own. you must bypass that or the wires you pull are simply going to put eletrical interference into the next amp. Either way I find its just best to wire around the factory amp, or replace it all. going half oem and half aftermarket has always seemed to have issues in my eye. Maybe its gotten better with time, but I figure if your going to do subs, use a head unit that has real controls for it.
