Skyjacker Shock Fitment

Picked up a set of Skyjacker H7009's for my 2005 Sierra Z71 and went to install them today and they appear to be too short. I specifically asked the shop to order in a pair that would fit a truck with a mild torsion key only lift and stated I'm up about 1.5 inches in the front and 1" in the back although back doesn't have a direct impact on the front shock size.

 

They sold me the H7009 which upon investigation is rated for a max 1" lift which I'm definetly over. The next best fit seems to be the H7003 rated for a 3" lift

 

Should I have gotten the H7003 or am I completely stupid and don't know how to make the H7009 fit. I'm really hoping it's not the latter. Or is there another model that I'm completely missing that would be a better fit.

 

FWIW the H7009 completely extended is shorter than the stock.

2005 GMC Serria 5.3 Z71 with a 1.5" torsion lift (It could be a tad higher than 1.5")
