i just put a flo pro hd big oval muffler on my truck (part# 2505) and my question is are the inlets supposed to be on the bottom of the muffler or the top? The reason I"m asking is my tailpipe is hitting my spring hanger and the muffler can only go up abount 1/2" before it hits the exhaust hanger. any help will be greatly apprecitated

2505 should be a direct fit muffler. The inlets should be at the bottom, and the outlets should be at the top.

How does it sound? Any louder than stock? Can you notice any improvement in throttle response? I've been looking at installing one these.

The muffler is a little louder and the tone is different, the truck is a little more peppier but not by much. The stock muffler flows pretty well. The best bang for the buck is a custom tune

I had one on my old Tahoe. You are right they are pretty tame, but do have a nice sound. I put over 100K on that muffler and never had an issue. Good mufflers.

Good to hear. I'm trying to stay away from a loud exhaust. I'm sure it would get old quick when towing.
