Let me get this out of the way. I have a 2007 GMC Sierra classic with a 4.8L and a 3.23 differential. Now i want to upgrade to a 4.10 but i dont know what the spec's are to even now what 4.10 to get. Like bolt pattern, the size of the case? Better yet if anyone has put a gear swap on the same vehicle as mine could you tell me which one to get. I need to get rid of that 3.23 it's killing me. Thank you

you have a GM 10-bolt 8.6" rear. (same ring and pinion as the GM 8.5" rear)

Is your truck 2wd or 4x4? If its 4x4 you MUST do the front gears also... there you have the GM IFS 8.25" front diff.

You can get gears from www.ringpinion.com, im a Yukon fan. Another good option is OE replacements since 4.10 was an option from GM.
