Howdy! I've been a long-time reader and occasional contributor here at the forums. After a truck-less year, I've recently acquired a fully-optioned '03 GMC Sierra 1500HD; pics are in my garage over at the Diesel Place. I'm just beginning to make this truck my own...changing all fluids to synthetic, repairing minor issues (e.g. new DRL sockets), replacing some worn chrome-plated plastic, and planning for a few additions/modifications (e.g. installed Westin step bars two days back, planning to do a tune in the near future, etc.). Glad to be back in a rig!

As an aside...thanks to all of the great members of these forums for providing such a valuable resource for truck owners. I'm on here nearly every day looking to solve issues or thinking about a modification, and it's rare that I come across something that hasn't been covered online. Much appreciated!

Glad to see you got the 6.0l, very good engine! A tune will really wake her up!

I hear you on the tune! I'm thinking of going with BlackBear mainly to reduce torque management and boost mileage.

The 1500HDs were only available with 6.0s. With an 8600 GVW, they were essentially identical to 2500 non-HDs. I'm loving the Quadrasteer on this one!
