Alarm Upgrade

My truck came from factory with remote to unlock doors. I installed an alarm but am not happy with it at all. I want to go back to my factory remotes. Is there a way to add an alarm to my truck using factory remotes? I know i can add factory remote start to my truck but can i add a factory alarm?

The factory alarm sucks and is very easy to defeat. I think what he is trying to say is that he wants to use an aftermarket alarm system yet still be able to use the GM key FOBs.

Well i looked in my owners manual and followed the instructions.

I do not have theft deterrent on my truck

 

What do I need to at least have that?

The dealership has a GM accessory shock sensor that you can add to your factory alarm.
