Remove Exhaust In One Piece?

Recommended Posts

Don't know on a GMT900, but I removed the exhaust on my 05 in one piece. It would probably be easy if it were on a lift. I jacked mine up in the front and the body on one side in the rear till it would clear.

Absolutely its possible,I've done it with all my trucks,After you unbolt it from the header pipe, and remove/unhook all the rubber hangers, you can remove it by lifting it up and over the rear axle toward the front of the truck,It helps if you have someone help you, although I have removed mine by myself in the past.

Oh...It also might help if you lower the spare tire/wheel,Just to give you a little more "wiggle room" for it.

I did exactly what Rich mentioned, make sure you lower the spare tire. It makes it MUCH easier.

Helps to have the rear axle completely off the ground and drooped to its fullest capabilities...
