Tires For 2008 Sierra Z71

hey there...new to the forum. any thoughts on a good all around all-season all terrain tire. I'm in the muck quite a bit and the snow as well, but don't want to go to nuts and put mudders on the truck. i have had great luck with bridgestone at revos...but they've always been on suvs (trailblazers and blazers). looking to outfit a 2008 sierra ext cab z71 with new tires. 265/70/17. currently there's goodyear wranglar ats' on the truck. i have had them in the past and don't like them. just curious on options that might be out there. i'm looking at firestone destination at and bridgestone duel at revo2 partly due to experience and the 50K mileage warranty. Any thoughts and pics would be great? Thanks in advance.

I have had good luck with Michelin LTX M/S. Have run them for years on my sub. Put them on my Sierra the day I bought it and they are fine. I tried the LTX A/T2 but discount traded them out for the M/S2 due to rock throwing on the A/T2s. Get 100,000 easy on the ones on my 90 sub. Ride/handling is much better than stock tires.

I go off road and find the M/S does fine. I like them better than the A/T2s as they do not mud up as bad and self clean quicker.

Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10's I have 12,000 miles on these tires, and they still look new. They work good in mud, ice, snow, rain... so far anything I have thrown at them!

Michelin LTX MS/2 in 265-70-17 Load E. Carry a 70K warranty. Best warranty in business. I had Nitto Terra Grapplers and they were very poor for wear on a Duramax.

The MS/2's are great for ride, wear. Better warranty than Hancook.

Better warranty maybe, but I don't want my truck tires to look like they belong on a family car. jm2c

The Hankooks ride great, and are less expensive than the Michelins. I dont wanna own the same set of tires for five years, and have them weather crack before the treadlife is gone out of them. Thats why I bought a 50,000 mile tire. I will replace them in 2-3 years and get my mileage out of them. Also, one must keep in mind what a warranty says, and what the company does to back it up can be two different things. I do my own tire work, never buy road hazard, and have never had complaints with any of the tires I have owned.... SO the actual warranty does nothing for me. I am not trying to dog Michelins at all here; in fact I run them on my 2003 Kawasaki Z1000.

My Michelin MS/2 tires were bought at America's Tire for $840 out the door and a $70 rebate coming back to me. The total cost is $770 out the door. Nitto has no mileage warranty and mine lasted only 25K with a Duramax. I ran them to 30K just to try and get some use from them. At America's tire, if the tire carrys a factory warranty, they will adjust the tire for how much use was gained against the warranty. In the case of my Michelins, if they wear out in 35K, I get half my money back. Nitto gave me nothing. My fault for buying them. Never had a Michelin or any other brand check the sidewall but we do not get year around sun.

Hancook has the second best warranty in the business. In Oregon they carry a 60K warranty at America's Tire.

Both would make a good tire.

I just bought a set of the A/T's and love them base on the great reviews I read. Cost me $850 OTD at America's tires too.

All handle great on and off road but are heavier than your stocks.

Guess I am glad I didn't go with the Nitto then, that was the other tire I was looking at when I purchased the Hankook's. NO year round sun here either....... but we get cold winters, salted roads, hot summers, and wet springs.
