Rear Block Advise

Like many of you I installed a 2" leveling kit on my 08 sierra 1500 to clear larger tires (275/60/20 cooper ltz). But in my opinion the truck looks funny level, there is only maybe a .5" rake to it now. Ive seen alot of your trucks with a 2.5" leveling kit with 3" rear blocks and i think it looks perfect. my concern is I only have a 2" leveling kit and Im afraid the 3" rear blocks might add to much rake. I was thinking of swapping out the 1.25" oem block with maybe a 2.5" block?? for a +1.25" ... idk, but any advise and pics would be great... thanks in advance

look at the pic in my sig, that's what 3" blocks look like with a level kit up front.

i did a 2" rc level, then added the 3" superlift blocks to the rear. it brought it right back to stock lean. in my eyes it looked like a taller, bigger truck with just the level. so then i added lift spindles and leaf springs. the truck looks waaay better level, not to mention that youll want to add new rear shocks because those blocks will stretch the oem ones and ur ride will become a bit bumpy. just my opinion

To me the truck looks like its pointing up ( star gazing) when its level.. just my opinion.. I am aware that ill probly have to change out the shocks.. Thanks for the pics .. keep them coming .. does anyone have 2/3 or a 2/2.5 lift combo with 33" tires pics

bump... anyone, anyone!!

see sig...2" front, 3" rear...

I went 3" blocks because most of the time I'm hauling stuff in the bed or towing a trailer, and hate the "Cali lean" look...

As for changing the ride, the only time it is rougher is when you're running empty and get airborne, the shocks will top out, but who does this everyday? Next set of shocks will be lifetime warrenty anyway... :fume:

I also did the 2" blocks in the back with a RC 2" front... gave the truck a nice look! Just an ever so slight rake to her, and not quite so nose high when hooked up to a trailer.

for those of you that put the 2 - 3 " blocks in the rear, does that go on top of the factory blocks or do you remove those to put the rc or rl blocks in?

Remove factory blocks, install new ones...you should never stack blocks...

I wont tell you what to do with your truck...but I wouldnt stack blocks. FWIW, some states call that "illegal" referencing stacking of more than 1 block on top of the rear axle, and remember never use blocks on the front (for SFA of course)
