New Guy/ Starting Issue

Hi Folks,

New guy here with a 98 Seirra.

I am having a starting issue that has me stumped.

Story:

I was "trailblazing" with my 98 K-1500. I didn't know at the time but a tree I ran over split my neutral safty switch open, yanked a wire out of the connector, and unplugged it.

When the truck wouldn't start I didn't look at the NSS. Instead I fixed some bad battery connection (dual batteries) and ran a couple new chasis grounds, pulled the starter and bench tested it.

Checked all maxi and mini fuses, swapped the starter relay around with another relay.

After all that I repaced the NSS, repaired the broken wire to the connector, and found that is almost all works. The install was perfect, slid right on in the neutral position, indecator and tranny are both in sync.

I get the park indecator when I turn the key "on". After the "on" position the idecator goes dark and I get no start. I tried starting it in all positions including neutral.

Is there something I may be just missing?

I also tried jumping the purple and yellow NSS wire with no luck.

The batteries are fully charged and to make sure I hook my other truck up to it via jumper cables. I get fill power an dlights, just no start.

I can't imagine what else it could be, any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bluto
