My First Post! (and Some Questions)

Hey all,

 

Wow. Big community here for trucks! My truck is our family workhorse (and on the weekends, our trailer hauler) - 06 Sierra 1500 SLT Ext cab (short box). Drove my first GM truck in the Military 22 years ago - GMC 3/4 tonne with a 350 V8 (4 barrel). Awesome truck - abuse them and love them. I've experienced them catching fire, wheels pop off, heater core exploding, and loved every minute in them. My current truck seems so posh to our old bench-seat/rubber floor matted military versions...

 

Simple A/C question. I've also read the A/C sticky - good to know there is help here to work other issues out. (Not sure if my question should go in the sticky though - more electrical/relay).

 

There are times when I press the AC button, that it flashes and only blows hot air on the drivers side. Other times, i press it, it works fine blowing cold air, then flashes and blows hot air. Now, it's working normally. What would cause that? Anyone else experience the sames issue?

 

And if it's a smiple reset procedure - anyone figure out how to reset it? Disconnect battery? etc... I've seen some postings when I searched but nothing conclusive or with exact 1.2.3. steps.

Mine does this as well.. if I hit the a/c button it blows hot, but if I just use the dual climate control and turn it to 60 it blows ice cold air.. weird.

The only time mine blinks is when I have it on heat and I hit rec. or A/C.

It will also blink if you have the fan in the off position.
