Battery Run Down Protection

I am looking a installing aux led lighting under my tonneau cover, I am going to access the power from the fused aux studs on the front side of the fuse box engine comp. I am wondering since this comes direct from the fuse box, will my lights be monitored by the battery run down proctection service should they get left switched on??

Why not put them on a relay and tap into the cargo switch?
