Steering Wheel Control For 2010 Gmc

Hello all, been lurking here for a bit and decided to register. I am interested in retrofitting steering wheel audio controls to my 2010 Sierra SLE crew cab. I've read all the threads on the Bluetooth, which I may eventually like to do, but in the mean time it would appear that all I need is the switch "pod" itself, and possibly a new clock spring as I currently already have cruise control. Can anyone verify that?

At some point I would like to also install the factory navigation system. Anyone know if this was available without the Bose system? I plan to add an amplifier, new speakers, and a sub via an AudioControl processor, but I would like as much of the factory integration as possible.

Thanks everyone for any and all help, I look forward to becoming a contributing member here!

Not sure about the Bose system, but I would think you could add the factory nav without it. The audio controls have been covered here.

It's quite the read so I'll spare you. You can't just buy the control pod due to a lack of wiring in the wheel, and the wiring harness isn't available for individual sale. You need to buy a new steering wheel with audio controls from ebay, gm parts direct, etc. The new wheel is plug and play and you don't need a new clock spring.
