Intake Tube. Vs. Entire System

I, like you, have a MBRP single side on my 2013 Silverado and just last week added the Airaid MIT tube. This is the third truck I have added only the MIT tube to the stock filter and airbox. Reason? Black Bear Performance did dyno testing on all the major CAI's and this setup netted the most gains on a factory tune. Plus, with their tune added it makes for even more HP and torque.

 

Now, for sound, I will say the open elements like K&N make better sound. You can hear the growl of the Airaid MIT, but it is nothing crazy.

Wish BlackBear would run the tests again with what's available now. That old test was back in 2012. I've traded a couple of times since then.
