I have not installed one but have thought about it as well. My aunt has a factory one installed on her 05 caravan, and to be honest I am not sure what to think. The thing is still in great shape and it has seen a lot of road and winters. I do believe they work to an extent as the parts on the van that are not grounded (track bar in the rear surrounded by rubber bushings) has a ton of rust on it. But that could be caused by other reasons as well.

i have heard that these rust protection moduals work very good for storage tank or anything buried in the ground but probably not at all above ground. just what i've read on the internet

The unit on my truck is installed between the battery and the fuse block.

I'll take a picture tonight if I rememebr.
