Need Help Removing Driver's Side Rear Axle.

OK, so my pinion bearing on my rear G80 is GONE. I bought a used complete rear axle from a freind off a junker, but will need to switch my brake backing plate and brake hardware off it because the junker is rusted bad (nothern truck) but the junker is tight at the yoke, unlike mine which is extremely sloppy.

I got the passenger side axle pulled but having issues finding the locking pin on the drivers side. Any help would be welcomed.

Also what chance could I possibly have if I removed my chunk and just stuck a new pinion bearing in the housing?

thank you in advance!

Should be a "c" clip on both axles. You might need to rotate the gears a bit to see it

Most likely the gears have abnormal wear and will be noisey. Also other bearing damadge from metal from the bad bearing.

I pulled the 8mm retainer that holds the big pin in, and pulled the c clip on the pass side. Is the same thing on the driver's side?
