Little Time Delay At Starting

Hi, is it normal to have a little time delay at starting, i mean from the moment that the key position is at starting position and the time the starter being operating on a 8.1L.

I would say that it's not normal... I wonder if your ignition switch is going bad. Do you carry alot of keys on your key ring? It's not unusual for the extra weight of keys to ruin an ignition switxh.

My 8.1 does the exact same thing, always has. I think its it totally normal. The time increment from when I turn the key till the starter takes off has a miniscule lag, like a 1/2 second.

Exacly like mine does, my old 5.7l 1999 burb and all other cars i had should i say doesn't have that 1/2 second lag. Are we the only two of us who's having that lag ?

Should be interesting to ear other 8.1l owner.
