07-10 Bds Strut Welds To Lower Mount Assembly

Hi,first post here.Just installed my BDS 4in. last saturday.I did the install myself with the help of a buddy.Everything went fairly smooth,cutting inner and outter tie rods was very time consuming making sure it would align ok.I was very apprehensive installing a susp. lift on a new truck.2010 K1500 2700 mi.Once i went to swap over the struts I looked at the welds on the lower body to mount for LCA. They look very poor,not much pennetration.Im no welding expert,just very concerned that it could possibly break.Has anyone heard of lower strut body to mount welds breaking??I called the vender i bought from and didnt get much help assurance.

 

Stuck with not knowing what to do .If it breaks CATTISTROFIC my wheel bottomed in my fender.Dont know if my insurance would cover that.Thinking tires soon,over all happy with the kit,it rides great.Just very concernd,factory strut welds look 10 times stronger.Thanks for any advice.

Screw the vendor... contact BDS directly. Send them a few pictures if you have to.

 

I dont own a BDS lift but i've heard nothing but praise from their customer service.

I agree, if you feel that it is that risky, I'd contact BDS directly. I too have heard they are a very good company
