New Part For Window Squeals?

I had my truck to the dealer today for routine maintenance as well as the common window squeal and a squeal from underneath the truck when turning.

 

For the window squeal, in the past, they have always just greased the rollers and sent me on my way.

 

Today, however, I walk over to my truck and the black trim piece on the outside bottom of the window is loose. Open the door and the door panel isn't fully closed. The window does have smears on it so they did grease the rollers I have to assume.

 

So I go inside and the service manager tells me that they are ordering a new "black piece" that will arrive in a few days. Apparently the stock black trim piece is causing the squeal?

 

Anybody else heard of this lately?

This is good news.. my drivers window squeals when moving up and down. The squeal def seems to be coming from the window ledge, and not inside the door..

I have the exact same squeal, def from the window ledge. I think something has actually scratched the exterior of my windows as it rolls into the door.

my drivers window does this too. I am def going to ask about it

Wow I have the same problem. It just started happening and doesn't happen everytime. But it indeed is coming from the ledge

My passenger side front window has been doing this as well and I'm going to be taking it in soon. I'll use the information provided here when I talk to them. Thanks.
