This is all new to me, so a little help from you guys would be appreciated. I've ordered the zone 3.5 combo kit and can't decide if the black XD Rockstars would look good or not. Not many trucks with lifts or wheels in my town to get an idea of what it may look like finished. Sorry, 2007 GMC Z71 Silver Birch. Anybody have advice or pics? Thanks

I have had rockstars for almost 3 years now. Back then everyone on the internet told me that those wheels are beat everyone has em. I was and still am the same way as you, rarely does my town have a truck in it thats lifted with big wheels, (especially newer trucks). IT was great for awhile, but honestly the wheels are beat. Everyone does have them, its annoying when I go somewhere else and see lifted trucks (for me i see alot at motocross stuff) and 1/4 of the lifted trucks have rockstars.

Not only that my rockstars didnt hold up for shit the chrome came off most of the simulated bead locks and the stars are pitting. It happed after running them for one winter. Before that they held up just fine for the most part.

IF u do get rockstars dont get anything smaller than a 20" because they look really stubby. If u get an 18 not only will you have the same wheel as everyone else, it will be smaller than everyone elses. U can look in my gallery I have a bunch of older pics in there with rockstars when they were newer and looked decent.

Thanks for the pic, those look great. I was kind of thinking all black wouldn't look so good on a silver truck, more crome definately is where it's at. So many different choices, guess I'll be busy looking this weekend. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the advice, man i thought i was over the black rockstars, but after seeing your pics i can't decide. I went to dinner last night and parked right beside a white GMC with the same wheels you have, couldn't believe it. First truck in my town I've seen them on. You got any suggestions on some other kinds that would look good?

I may go with this wheel

OR this wheel

or maybe even these double pumps: http://www.wheelsnext.com/images/wheels/la...-Pump_6-Lug.jpg

Im putting new 35s on my rockstars right now and using them as my winter wheels/tires and I am going to go with a new set of wheels/tires when spring comes. These aftermarket wheels dont like the winter here in PA. All the salt ate my rockstars up a lil bit

Whatever the wheel was on the last link you sent was sweet, thanks man. This might sound dumb, but I couldn't tell who made it. I think a little black and some chrome looks really good.

No problem. I am going with the gear alloy back countrys (the 2nd link) myself and these rockstars are gonna be winter wheels.

I live in the South, so don't have to worry about the snow. I found a pretty good site called rim zone, they had a couple nice wheels by moto metal. A little cheaper than the gear alloy.
