I bought my 05 1500 5.3, 4wd Z71 Silverado used about 3 months ago. I changed the engine oil, no problems at all. I now would like to do the trans fluid/filter, transfer case oil, and the diffs. I tried doing a search but couldnt find exactly what i was looking for. What would be recommended for the oils/fluids? Also, what is the part number for the trans filter/gasket? Thanks a bunch for the help.

Trans: DEX VI

 

Diffs: 75w-90 synthetic gear oil with no additives

 

Transfer case: Looks like it calls for synthetic trans fluid also

 

You should have deep pan with the 4l60e: Wix filter #58847 Your local auto parts store can look up the info also

 

You might consider:

 

Flushing and refilling the cooling system

 

Flushing the brake system with fresh fluid

 

Replacing the power steering fluid
