Average Gas Mileage Poll

Please post your vehicles configuration with mileage after response.  Is your truck stock?  Comments?  What made the biggest improvement?

I get about 17.7 with a mix of city and highway! Only mod is a K&N Drop In! Dont know what it was before the drop in because I put it in as soon as I got it! :thumb:

'99 Regular cab short box Z71 4.8.  I get about 18 most of the tim but have gotten as good as 19.5 on the highway.  3.73 gears, 265 tires, Edlebrock headers, true duals, and that is it so far.

Truck and mods listed in my signature... My mileage in town is usually 13-14... any highway is usually near 18.. Combination of town and Hwy of 15-16... Note that I normally haul ass in town and usually run 80 on the Hwy..

I get about 16 with all in town. Only mod is UPD Intake. My "habit trail" is a 15 mile daily round trip commute!  The commute one way 7.5 miles includes 6 redlights 5 stop signs and a 5-10 minute idle and move; idle and move wait to drive through a guarded gate at work in the morning. I do have one little stretch where I get it up to about 60mph for a couple of minutes.

I get around 15.5 to 16.0 on average. I drive mostly country roads with my longest trip usually around 15 miles. I have BFG 285s, K&N FIPK, Gibson cat back exhaust. I use Mobile 1 and run mid grade unleaded. I will say that it goes like a bat out of he!!.

I got 20-23 mpg all highway in my RCSB on a recent trip. I havn't checked in town milage so I didn't want to vote for anything.

Just finished a road trip from Texas to Colorado and back. It was mostly flat and I averaged 23+

 

When I got my truck last summer perhaps the best suprise was gas milage that I got. I assume this is a product of a good engine and ratios coupled with a truck that isn't that heavy (compared to a crew cab)

06 4x4 crew cab, with 6 inch lift and 33 allterrain tires, i get around 17-18 with the new stillen exhaust
