blacksab2 Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 I had a local aftermarket shop quote me $250 to paint 4 fender flares to match my truck.....This sounds kinda high to me considering there isint much surface to paint....Anyone have an idea of what price painting 4 fender flares should cost?
chevy4x4trucks Posted September 19, 2002 Posted September 19, 2002 that seems a bit steep considering gmpartsdirect.com has it listed for 250 for indigo flares in indigo blue: 12496423 All BLUE INDIGO REAR FLARE 1 $121.80 12496422 All FRONT BLUE INDIGO FLARE 1 $121.80 Before you go over there and order them check w/ www.partszoneonline.com He's got competitive prices and you should save over them on shipping costs.
blacksab2 Posted September 20, 2002 Author Posted September 20, 2002 I figured that sounded high priced.....I also notice the GM flares you quoted....Are those part numbers a set or are they each?.....I'm guessing they are a set because I would figure they would have 4 part numbers seperating left and right sides...If I can get all 4 GM flares for $250 already painted, the #### with Bushwacker!!...hahaha....
chevy4x4trucks Posted September 20, 2002 Posted September 20, 2002 that's for the pair (left and right side) I say go for those, the price is good.
blacksab2 Posted September 21, 2002 Author Posted September 21, 2002 No doubt......Why would I spend $600 when I can get GM ones for $250!...I'm willing to bet the finish and color match will be better from GM than having an aftermarket shop paint them....
Redapple Posted September 27, 2002 Posted September 27, 2002 Thats what I paid for mine, $250, right from the dealer I got my truck from. They bolt on in about 15 mins, look great. Bill
blacksab2 Posted September 28, 2002 Author Posted September 28, 2002 I imagine the fit is perfect being they are from GM.....Did they come painted for $250?...How good is the paint finish?....Did it match the color of the truck well?
Redapple Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 The fit was okay. I thought it would be somewhat better than it was being a GM and all, but it did require some minor "Tweaking". They did come painted, and the quality is good. They match the truck perfectly. I will try to post a picture of my truck in the next few days. Bill
