Leather Install Is Complete

I finished the installation of my new leather seat covers from leatherseats.com over the weekend. The job was not too bad, but took me about 12 hours. The quality and fit of these covers is really impressive.

Thanks, guys. I was happy with the way it came out, especially since I have never done any upholstery work before. I just took my time, and took a few breaks for a nice cold beverage every now and then. It helped to have such high quality covers, and an extra set of hands to get the seats in and out without damaging anything.

There was not a single hog ring in the originals, nor any needed in the replacement covers. All attachment was done by velcro or plastic channels that snap over the edges of the sheet metal frames.

Wow. That looks good. So much better than GM's OEM leather too. I went to their website and they have some nice custom leather options. It's good to hear a first hand opinion as far as the quality is concerned. This may be added to the Christmas list.

I like your OBX sticker.

You must be near me

I am on the beaches there quite often

For those who don't know...OBX stands for Outer Banks, NC

That looks great! I've often wondered about aftermarket seat covers. I checked out their site and it looks like they offer some good stuff.

Diver, not too close to you (a 7 hour drive for us), but we do like to spend a week in OBX during the summer when we can. This year's trip was the shakedown cruise for the new Silverado. Hauled the 4 of us and all our stuff to the beach no problem. It would have been nice to have the leather for that trip though.
