2006 Radio Problems

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra with the standard CD/radio (non Bose unit). Some of the radio lights do not work. Also, the front right speaker is the loudest and the other 3 are significantly lower on volume. Do I need a new radio? Is there a separate amplifier?

sounds like your CD/radio deck is broke. my old one would cut in and out sometimes and when i crank up the volume, the volume of the speakers fluctuate, anywhere from quiet to loud. so i replaced my deck with an aftermarket deck and everything works normal.

 

i have a 2002 gmc and my factory deck had the amplifier built in so if they didn't change the radios from 2002 - 2006 your deck will have the amplifier built in.
