What Shocks To Go With?

Hey my old 98 Z71 came with Bilstein Shocks from the factory and its time to change them; so what do you all think is a good replacement or should I order the same ones again from GM if they still stock the Bilsteins? I haul heavy loads with this truck but use airbags so am looking for something with a good ride.

Depends on your price range, shocks can get expensive...fast.

Hi Robert... good to see a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan in Edmonton ... especially now that your team is out of playoffs... (close one today though with the BC Lions...)

 

anyway... my mechanic put KYB Gas-a-Just shocks on my 1997 truck 2 years ago and the ride has been very good, and they also work well when I am pulling the 5th wheel trailer..

i put a full set of skyjackers on my truck and they were $50 a shock. I dont mind them, but they arnt gas they are hydraulic

Man rough country has hydro shocks for 29.95 and nitro for 34.95 cant beat there price

I have the KYB's currently (only because I can't swing the bilsteins) but would recommend Bilsteins.

I went with Rancho all the way around when I replaced mine. I haven't had any problems with them except the cost. Bought them from Summit Racing.
