Anybody Dyno'd a stick 4.8?

I am just curious to see whta type of numbers they put out.

My dad has a 2000 Silverado Z71 w/3.73s, a 4.8L, and a 5spd.  He had it dynoed with just a K&N FIPK and a single 3.5in mandrel bent exhaust with a hooker muffler, it made 242rwhp and 256rwtq.  The hp was still going up when the speed limiter came on.

What part of the US was this in? Winter, summer, temperature?

 

Just wondering... Thats pretty close too mine (249hp, 272torq, they said about 261hp if i was in 3rd gear). I guessing you did yours in 3rd gear, speed limiter and all..?

It was done in south-eastern WI, the temp was about 40deg, and I think it was done in third but I can't remember.  Do you have a 4.8 or a 5.3?  What where the condition when you had your truck dynoed, and where was it done?  Thanks

I've got a 5.3L. It was done at a place in houston called MTI. It was around 86F during my runs.

Bone stock 4.8's with 342's gennerally go in the 220-225 rwhp and 240- 245 rwtq range.
