Help! My Truck Is Emitting A Radio Signal!

Ok here is my issue. I have a very old garage door opener, it works fine and I don't want to replace it. I had a Pontiac G6, the keychain was on the same frequency or something because it opened the door when I locked or unlocked the car, it didn't matter how i programmed the dip switches in the opener it would work regardless. A friend of mine was over and he had a Colorado pickup, his keychain opened the door also but when his car was sitting in the driveway without him pressing the key the door would randomly open and close. I just got a 2010 Silverado and its parked in the garage, the keychain also opens the door and also the door has been opening and closing randomly with the car just sitting in the garage. Obviously the truck is emitting some sort of radio signal that is causing my door to open and my friends Colorado did it too. My question is what is causing this and how can I stop it because its very annoying

Change the dip switches on the opener.

my Aunt had one from the 1980s that would open anytime a plane flew overhead.. and she was in the O'Hare flight path..

An old opener that is opened by almost everybody's keyfob is useless. Might as well leave the damn door open 24/7 and hop nobody steals anything.

 

I'd replace it for the safety and security of my home if it was mine.
