2007 Yukon Denali Vs Sierra Denali Power Rating

Hey, it's been awhile.

I'm looking at replacing the 2003 Yukon Denali with a 2007, but I have a question regarding the difference in power from the Yukon Denali (380hp) to the Sierra Denali (403 HP).

Anyone what it is that is different that allows the power difference? Purely PCM programming? Is swapping a Sierra Denali PCM into the Yukon Denali even remotely possible?

Also, with the 6.2L -can a cold air intake be put on for bolt on hp or does it require a tune like the G8/Camaro?

Also, what can a basic tune do for it both power and mpg-wise?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

You can get all that power back in a tune.

We have an 07 YD and I have always thought that it was just marketing not wanting the Yukon to have the same hp as the truck when I actually think it does. I think in 08 they started advertising 403 for the YD too. I have no dyno #s to back this up, but I can tell you our 07 Denali hauls ass

Get a tune. Wester's and Black Bear are both highly regarded on the Denali Truck Forum.
