How Many Dc Outlets?

Recommended Posts

Ok so the GM site seems to indicate my 2010 Crew Cab Silverado should have 3 to 4 DC outlets but I can only find one. The one I can find is on the dash, the other one that would normally be there is a USB outlet instead. I would have to assume there is at least one more in the back somewhere but I can't find it, is there only one?

mine has two on dash, one inside the center console and one on the rear of the center console.

but it all depends on your build and option level (for example those with jump seats do not have them in the console or rear of console, well because there is no console)

I have the LT with bench seats. There is storage area in the arm rest and a storage area under the seat cushion. I just founda second one in the storage area under the seat cushion, but cannot find one in the back

Yep. I found one in the jump seat, but for some reason, mine doesn't work. I wonder if I have to connect something. Does anyone know?

You kidding me, there's one in the jump seat under the seat cushion!!!! I didn't know. Awesome, I was wondering why they only had one in the first place. lol

They should have put one in the top glove box in the dash.

Let me try and list them all from what I have seen in my truck and others. You should have two on the dash under the radio unless you have one of the newer trucks with USB as that replaces one of the plugs. If you have the jump seat with the under seat storage area you should have one in there (gmowner4life, it should work with out having to do anything, might want to check your fuses.) If you have a center console you should have on inside of it and one on the rear for the back seat. I think thats all of them, at least those are all of the places I have seen them.

I am looking forward to having more usb dc outlets to charge phones and the like. Cigarette lighter type are outdated. My wifes 2010 Lacrosse only has on in the armrest and on in the back center. Super lame!! No USB either.

but how many AC outlets?

My Tacoma had a bed mounted one and for the life of me I can't figure out why more manufacturers don't have a few of these in vehicles. It was only 400W if memory serves but it was quite useful.
